One tap. A clear next step.

The person who finds your pet shouldn’t have to guess what to do next.

A tap opens your pet’s finder page with their name, photo, and a clear way to call you—or an enabled Safety Circle backup contact.

Test it yourself

Don’t take our word for it. Use the finder page.

This interactive demo shows the two contact actions a real finder can see: call the owner or call an enabled Safety Circle backup contact.

  • The finder needs no PetDentify app or account.
  • The pet’s name and photo help confirm the right profile.
  • Calls are choices—the owner and Safety Circle are not automatically notified by a scan.

How it works

If your pet gets lost, one tap gives the finder a clear next step.

It only takes one person stopping to help. Make sure they know what to do next.

They tap the tag

An NFC-enabled phone opens your pet’s finder page in a browser.

They confirm it’s your pet

The page shows your pet’s name and photo.

They call someone who knows them

The finder can call you or an enabled Safety Circle backup contact.

If a phone does not read the tag

Unlock the phone, confirm NFC is enabled, remove a thick or metal case, and try the top or center-back of another NFC-enabled phone. If the finder page cannot load, contact a shelter, veterinarian, or animal services so they can check the pet for a registered microchip.

Why PetDentify is different

Give the finder another person to call.

Safety Circle

One missed call doesn’t have to be the finder’s only option.

Add trusted backup contacts and choose who appears on your pet’s finder page. The finder can call you or any enabled contact.

YouOwnerCall JordanFamilyCall

Safety Circle contacts appear as call options. They are not automatically called or notified.

No finder app

The finder page opens in a browser.

No battery

Passive NFC means there is nothing to charge or pair.

Works with your microchip

PetDentify complements—not replaces—permanent microchip identification. Learn why.

An engraved tag can’t change its mind.

The usual alternative is a $6 tag with your number stamped into it. Here is the honest difference — including where the two are the same.

Comparison of a traditional engraved pet ID tag and a PetDentify NFC tag
Comparison point Engraved tag PetDentify
What the finder sees A phone number stamped in metal Your pet’s name, photo, and a Call owner button
If your number changes Order and engrave a new tag Update it in the app—the tag never changes
If you don’t pick up That was the only option The finder can call a Safety Circle backup contact
Your number in the open Readable by anyone who gets close enough Not printed on the tag; the finder just taps Call
Battery or charging None needed None needed—passive NFC
App the finder must install None None—the page opens in their browser

A PetDentify tag is not a replacement for a microchip. Keep the chip registered and current—it is the permanent identification a shelter or vet will scan for. Why both.
